ROGUE Monster Rhino Belt Squat - Standalone
A new patented system for lower body training
The ROGUE Monster Rhino Belt Squat Freestanding includes a pair of 53.925" steel legs for installation and two 3x3" angled front legs for platform stability, so no separate rack or rig is required for setup. This compact unit can be installed in a garage gym, low ceiling home gym, or full-scale facility, giving athletes the lower body training benefits of squats and other exercises without putting unnecessary stress on shoulders and hips.
Manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, the freestanding Monster Rhino Belt Squat comes with 3x3" arms and cross members, a 3x6" weight trolley tower, and a .25" braided cable for raising and lowering the weight trolley. When not in use, the trolley is stored on a 1" thick UHMW plastic hook, or "Rhino Horn." The diamond treadplate platform provides a stable footing, the handle allows for overhand and neutral grips, and Rogue's exclusive Rogue Multi Belt (standard equipment) adjusts from 41" to 61" to easily accommodate nearly any waist. The entire Rhino unit (except platform, handles, and weight posts) is finished in a medium gloss black powder coat.
How to Use the Rhino Belt Squat <br>Step onto the platform and wrap the Rogue Multi-Belt around your waist. As you stand up, the trolley will rise and detach from the Rhino Horn, allowing the user to pull the handle to initiate a squat. After pulling the handle, it will stay back until the user pushes it back towards the tower, allowing the horn to safely re-engage with the trolley.
BENEFITS OF BELT SQUATSPerforming belt squats rather than traditional back, front or Zercher squats is beneficial for a variety of reasons. Athletes who regularly suffer from lower back pain or spinal compression from axial loading can avoid these issues by placing the majority of the load on their hips and legs. Similarly, those rehabilitating from upper body injuries (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, etc.) can continue training their lower body without worrying about supporting a barbell.
Belt squats help provide traction to the spine and plenty of volume to the legs, while also providing versatility for other types of workouts, from calf raises to rows, shrugs and deadlifts, all of which can be easily performed even in home gyms with limited space. A pair of welded band pegs are built into the system for additional resistance exercises.
