The MBC Adjustable Bench is delivered partially disassembled, so you will need to prepare your own tools and assemble it yourself.
Precautions when assembling
*Assembly instructions are included with the product.
*Please be careful not to injure yourself by pinching your fingers in the moving parts.
*During assembly, iron sand and small brown or white debris may come out from inside the frame. This is residue left inside the frame when the metal is primed before painting, and does not adversely affect durability or pose any danger in use. If there is iron sand or small debris left inside the frame, please remove it from the holes in the frame before assembly. (We have requested the manufacturer to make improvements so that this is properly removed before packaging.)
*If the bolts securing the seat to the frame are tightened too much, the screw holes on the seat side may be damaged. Please do not use power tools; use hand tools to assemble.
*When assembling,
- 1 x 6mm hex wrench
- 1 x 8mm hex wrench
- 1 pair of 19mm spanners/wrenches
The above tools are required, but 6mm and 8mm hex wrenches are included with the product.
Please prepare only a 19mm spanner/wrench.
Assembly step 1, unpacking
The adjustable bench is disassembled and packed in two boxes. You will need scissors to open the boxes, so be careful not to cut your hands.
Assembly process 2: Assembling the frame
First, assemble the frame. (Assemble the bolts without tightening them completely, and then tighten them all up after the frame is assembled to ensure that the assembly is free of distortion.)
First, attach the bases to the front and back of the main frame.
Next, attach the left and right guides.
Next, attach the front and rear ladders. If the ladder bolts are tightened too much, the seat movement will become stiff. After tightening them firmly, loosen them until the movement becomes smooth.
If it is too loose, there will be a lot of play, so loosen it little by little and adjust it until it moves smoothly and there is no play.
The MBC adjustable bench uses anti-loosening nuts, so it will not loosen even if it is not tightened completely.
After assembling the frame, check that the bolts connecting the seat frame are not loose. If these bolts are loose, it will cause the seat to wobble. If they are loose, tighten them a little at a time until the seat frame is no longer loose.
If you tighten this bolt too much, the movement of the seat frame will become stiffer. If you want to adjust the seat angle to feel firmer, tighten this bolt.
A new adjustable bench may have some noise or sticking when adjusting the seat pad angle because the movable parts are not yet in contact with each other. The noise or sticking caused by the movable parts not being in contact with each other will disappear naturally after a while of use, but if it bothers you, try oiling this part.
Assembly step 3: Installing the seat
Attach the seat to the assembled frame. Be careful not to tighten the bolts that secure the seat too much, as this can damage the screw holes on the seat side.
