MBC Original Rack Functional Trainer Assembly Instructions

Tools required for assembly
Please prepare the following tools for assembly.
- 1 pair of 30mm wrenches or spanners
・19mm wrench
- 1 x 5mm hex wrench
- 1 x 3mm hex wrench
・Stepladder (or large footstool) 1 unit
1. Preparation of the rack
To install a functional trainer, the distance between the front and rear columns of the rack must be 62.5 cm.
Before installing the functional trainer, remove the cross member and pull-up bar from the installation location as shown in the photo below.
2. Assembling the base
1. Attach the base parts. At this point, insert the adjustable pulley from the top of the support. Be careful not to install the adjustable pulley upside down.
3. Assembling the weight stack
1. Place two rods on the base. The side with the screw holes should be facing up.
At this time, do not forget to attach the cushion rubber to the bottom of the rod.
Applying oil or grease to the rod at this stage will make it easier to attach the weight plates.
2. Attach the weight plate to the rod.
The rod is unstable when simply inserted into the base, so please work carefully to prevent the rod and weight plate from falling over.
3. Once all the weight plates are attached, attach the T-shaped top weight last.
4. Attach the fixing pin and pulley to the top weight.
First, hook the ring part of the pin and screw the pulley in about halfway.
5. Connect the upper part of the rod to the fixed part.
Align the side hole of the nut with the hole of the rod and secure it with a bolt.
Be careful not to tighten the bolts too much. (If you tighten them too much, it may cause the operation to get stuck.)
4. Assembling the upper unit
1. Install the cross member. From this point on, you will be working at a height, so be sure to use a step ladder or a large platform to avoid falling.
2. Install the upper unit.
5. Installing the cable
1. Attach the cable to the adjustable pulley side, then to the lat pulldown side.
The long cable is for the adjustable pulley and the short cable is for the lat pulldown.
First, connect the end with the bolt, then pass the cable through to the handle and secure the carabiner with the screw.
2. When passing the cables through the upper unit, please check carefully to make sure they are correctly placed as shown in the diagram below.
* Be sure to pass the cable through the correct position. If you pass the cable through the outside of the anti-drop pin by mistake, the cable coating will be damaged after a few uses.
3. The cable length is adjusted with the bolt.
Adjust the three bolts as shown in the diagram below to ensure there is no slack in the length.
Once the adjustment is complete, tighten all three nuts to secure the unit in place.
